Our Horseshoe lap steel pickup uses real chrome-plated horseshoe magnets and bobbins with adjustable poles to give you better volume balance on the outside strings as compared to the originals. We offer three versions of this pickup: 1) our own take on the pre-World War II era 1½" wide pickup which is slightly longer than the original to allow easier height adjustment using the thumbwheels, 2) a retrofit version with a shorter baseplate for use in the original, pre-war Rickenbackers®, and, 3) a 1¼" post-World War II model.
